    It started off real good this is the worst ELD company in the United States of America their customer service sucks.. can’t even get a hold of customer service they tell you to call you back in 24 hours that’s a crock of shit..

    CAVEAT EMPTOR. Samsara started out pretty good for the first 3 months. Afterward, the system is buggy and the app is frequently out of synch with the dashboard. Drivers sign out or change status on app and it does not register in the dashboard. This makes nearly every log incorrect and requires two steps to fix. Samsara refuses to use the Verizon network, therefore many regions lose connectivity altogether or are significantly delayed. Samsara cannot handle pure lat/long coordinates and instead converts the coordinates to the nearest street address, which in our case could be over a mile away. We drive in rural areas often on private roads to locations that do not have street addresses. If you are a logging company or drive in the oilfield find another ELD solution.

    Samsara also makes it difficult to know what you are paying for. They hide your contract and other billing documents to make it difficult to understand what you are paying on renewal (unless you had no device changes). I find it comical they have no problem letting you update your credit card number but refuse to make your detailed invoice available in the portal.

    Support is awful and once your purchase is complete your account manager will not return calls. They are claiming we have a three-year contract but we have enough documentation of their software not functioning that we will be taking them to court to end it and get a refund. If any other companies want to join in our suit post a reply and I will reach out to you to arrange a phone call.

    Terrible service, shit doesn’t work half the time and constantly have to get replacement gateways and cameras.. The day the contract is up is the day they all go in the trash.

    I have used KEEPTRUCKING app before this. Samsara has a recent update which makes the app not as efficient from the driver’s end. Several comments have been put in reviews that I agree with. I did not set up the account, nor do I have control of the password. Anyone who knows my employee number and truck number can log in as me. Maybe that is an issue to take up with the company, but I should be able to edit username and password.

    Since the update, the app is almost always behind. It does not show you moving or stopped until 15-20 minutes after. Sometimes longer. It sometimes changes personal conveyance to driving, or on duty. It is not consistent in when it changes and how it changes.

    Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Sales department has no authority and they deceived us into purchasing more units than we need and refuse to take them back.

    We order 3 devices for our trucks.
    We have used one of the devices for one day. After that i tried to cancel it and Was told that my sales rep is not available and only him can do that. Right now we cannot cancel The services and should pay around 5k for something we are not using at all.
    It’s a scam!!!!

    Company is just growing TOO FAST that is not CARING about it’s customers!

    We have referred 5 great affiliates and using them for over 2 years while growing our fleet as well.

    Since we started with them there have been a lot of issues with their equipment which we worked with them getting replacement. Their attitude was ridiculous saying that the “fixed” without charge. We have been sent contracts for bus upgrades instead of just the replacement units and therefore double charged every month. Now they like us to pay for the extra contract claiming they never sent the contracts over. Were seriously considering buying off the contract and moving on! Owner is also never present!

    We are in Canada looking for a system that will work in Canada as well as USA. Currently have a few drivers using the free Keep Trucking app.on their phone. (in Canada only) It seems to work problem free. Has anyone in Canada used Samsara and if so what was your experience?
    I’ve used People Net before and can’t say enough negative things about it and when I read the review that indicated this system was worst…..well it got my attention.

      Hi Jack, we are just installing this on 143 buses and 80+ drivers. All testing has been great. Tested 6 units for 6 months while using Keep Truckin as well. Samsara Hardware seems far superior. Way less replacements and the tracking and HOS is amazing.

    I work for abf freight on a turn run Kansas City to Wichita Kansas every night, when I get to Wichita I have to log out of one truck and into another at close to midnight. We pull triple trailers with two gears. I can never get all the trailers and gears to populate, have to enter 2 or 3 times it is so frustrating that I don’t even want to come into work. I might end up retiring, what a piece of ————. I hate it.👎

    We have been using Samsara ELDS for over a year. Currently, we are using two (2) ELDs; however, we have one (1) ELD that we need to return. We have made numerous phone calls for more than two months trying to get an address on where to return them. The last attempt was last week, and was told that Chloe would call me back, but like previous times, she never did. This is a very unpleasant situation to find yourself. Our payments are deducted every month, but we cannot understand where the Customer Service is when simply providing an address for returning this one ELD. We could use some help.

    Using Samsara ELD Vehicle Gateways and Asset Gateways for a year now in a relatively large fleet, spread out across 4 time zones. While our Rep is fantastic, you can’t go to him to get things done. Engineers and tech support either won’t listen, can’t listen, or simply don’t know.

    And there is the first problem… tech support at Samsara is unable to ‘escalate’ an issue to somebody who knows more about the system… it’s so new, that MY problems might likely be the first they’re hearing of the issue. There’s nobody to escalate the problem TO. In my opinion, we pay too much to beta test their issues for them as guinea pigs.

    Additionally, connectivity issues arise because Samsara Vehicle Gateways use ATT Mobile for their 4G LTE. While that may work in San Fran where they’re located, it simply doesn’t work for me in the Midwest, South, or Eastern Seaboard US. ATT coverage is a bad idea, as the VGs dump connectivity on an inconsistent basis in the geographic regions listed above. When the VG is disconnected, the ELD app is supposed to keep current, and sync back up with the VG when coverage is restored. It does NOT, at least not reliably. Tech support won’t hear this (or can’t hear this) no matter how loud we shout. Don’t even consider the cameras, don’t waste your time and effort.

    I will say this, they are very good at placating us to this point, but this middle simply won’t hold much longer. We’re in business to make dough and we need to stay DOT compliant to do that. Samsara is failing at that… which is the point of the product.

    If what you want is a professionally run company, very good at selling you an idea, with all the parts in the right place… while you spin around in circles investing YOUR manpower, money, reputation, and potentially your DOT number, by all means – get Samsara. Otherwise, look elsewhere (as if any of these other companies are any better :-).

    Heaven help us all… we’re doomed.

    i used samsara for about a year i had a 3 year contract at 21$ per month and they jumped me in price all the way to 39$ per month after having 40+ devices i have canceled and moved to keep trucking be aware of samsara they will not honor any agreement written or verbal

    Can’t get the tablets to connect to the truck most of the time. Have to use our cell phones with the app. The multiple choice duty selections are hard to see, when you scroll them up. My understanding is, when the shop needs access to the j1939 data port, a disconnect procedure must first be performed. An ELD should not interfete with data port access ! Absolutely hate it !

    The Samsara units are a joke. My truck unit gives out incorrect locations all the time.The logs can’t be edited with the correct location either. I would definitely not recommend any body using there equipment. It’s junk.

    Worst Application ever!! At the time of buying they will tell a whole lot of words to you but once you buy this you will have to deal with the real challenge in day today.The developers and support team is useless they will not update their application according to the customers need.They will send you their responses in same piece of shit ARGUING ON SAME THING. Please don’t buy this piece of shit if you want to have a peace of mind.

    What a nightmare. Total garbage. Switches you to driving when you’re not. When you try to edit time blocks your problems really start. Every time you go to a different app on your phone (map) and then go back to samsara, you have get logged in again. What a bunch of nonsense. KeepTrucking was 10x better. Too bad i am not in a position to throw out this severely deficient product.

    It is junk!!! It kicks me into drive when I’m sliding the tandems or pull forward after fueling. When you are driving teams it is not as user friendly. Yard mode is a joke. Unable to do a divr on the trailer I pick up for my back haul. A 30 min break takes 31 min. People net sucked but is still better than this garbage.

    Been with Samsara for about 2 months now. Just recently read all the reviews out of curiosity. Can’t explain all the negative reviews about the driver app arbitrarily switching driver’s status. Never has happened to us, I suspect user error.
    Hands down the best front and back end ELD system. Integration with reefer control is top notch – the system just works.

    System locks up when truck shuts off in yard move. Takes about 10 minutes to reset it. Doesn’t always keep accurate time on breaks have to always go back to home screen then to HOS screen to see the current break time. Doesn’t keep up with miles in a shift or mpg.

    There are just a few things that need tweeking. But as far as ease of use and friendly to the driver, it’s 2 thumbs up.
    It would be nice if it would show you up front, what your split break options would be, but after 8 hours, they are automatically available. And it really needs a night mode. The hardware is minimal, and doesn’t get in your way. As an owner operator, I like that I can switch on the fly from driving to personal conveyance. That is my favorite thing about the software.

    This is the worst ELD app I ever used . It changes the status automatically and never tell true picture about the hours. I called Samsara and my company couple times, but no action. I am struggling with this APP since couple weeks and Samsara is not willing to correct their issues. What was the bad day, when my company switched to this ELD. Due to this pain in ass I am going to quit from my job and will not work for any company who is using Samsara. It is a piece of garbage. Beware of this scam.

    This is the most aggravating system. NOT user friendly and recording driving time while I was asleep. Have been parked for 6.5 hrs but it said I drove for one minute while I was asleep!!!! Needs major overhaul. Ready to throw it out of the window. Bottom line….., it sucks!!!

    As a technology consultant I have the ability to talk to many companies about many ELD solutions. Samsara is a one stop shop that has a user interface obviously designed by some very talented engineers. Dash cams, ELD, Asset Tracking, GPS all in one. And its real time! The alerts allow carriers to know what is happening now, not after some third party reviews the information.

    I’m sure it’s a great system but the owner of my company bought $44.00 dollar kid tablets that are always locking up. He’s sitting on his hands hoping that all of his drivers put Samara Driver on our Smartphones. Out of frustration, I installed it on my smartphone. It seems to be memory hungry and locks up my phone and everybody at my company has the same problem with their phones. Also when using it on my personal smartphone it starts using my data when it has no WiFi connectivity.

    Latest upgrade has me still driving when I make a bathroom break, go in the office. or once I hook up a trailer (Even if I go back inside to wait for manifests)

    Complete nonsense. Constant malfunctions. Crashes once a week. Biggest mistake was to use samsara as our fleet eld provider. They dont even have split sleeper recognized on the app.

    It’s easy to install however, they advertised several reporting features but, what they failed to mention is that not all the features are compatible with our truck (2007 Freightliner Century). Any time you need help your call is answered by one person but, if it’s a technical support type question they usually need to have someone else that is more qualified call you back so it’s pretty much like an answering service so they take down the info and hours later they have someone call you back to help resolve the issue. I started service at the end of Nov 2017 referred someone in Dec 2017 (before I had enough time to realize the flaws) and although they market referral gift cards of $250-$500 it’s now MAY 2018 and I have never been sent the referral gift card. I reached out several time and always get the run around. We had to sign a 3 year contract and what I get in exchange is very basic.

    As a fleet manager/owner, I can see the appeal of Samsara. The vehicle location service and video capabilities are good. And the cloud service gives you quite a bit of control.

    However as a driver it is terrible.

    1. You can only view 7 days worth of logs.
    2. You are not able to change the password on your own, making your drive time and certification Insecure.
    3. I have had “driving” and “on duty” time that wasn’t mine, show up on my log.
    4. I have been logged in without my knowledge, and “driving” and “on duty” time under my name at times when I was at home and asleep.
    5. Had “driving” time on my name from vehicles hundreds of miles away from my location.
    6. Slow or no automatic duty changes where you had been driving hours, and your status status was still “on duty”, or “off duty”.
    7. Registered status as “personal conveyance”, with sudden changes to “driving”.
    8. No software updates to the app in months, instability with newer versions of iOS.
    9. Inability to provide the DOT required log data during an on the road inspection.
    10. Inability to correct errors in my own log.

    I can go on and on. Having used BigRoad previously, and seeing the accuracy in BigRoad, I cant believe the FMCSA has certified such an innacurate product.

    But since it’s not my fleet, and not my dime, I’m stuck with a substandard, innacurate, and insecure product.

    I am not recommend this company to you guys . because after the contract stuck to you then they don’t care who you are any more . They just nice to you at first , then you sign a contract and stuck with it then you will see they turn their face back to you. ( let you be your own. no help no question.) I have been talk to them since my try time still remain they answer your phone. Then No answers to you called , e-mail and called email . there is no one’s gonna get on the phone with you . I have been with them 6 months, how do I get out of this contract . please show me how if you could. I have a contract for 3 yrs.

    Samsara sucks !!!!
    There is practically zero driver interaction with the app .
    It gives no information by which a Driver might dispute and adjust the log , Legally , but a correction at the source .
    And a simpke algorhytm would make it so that a driver is localized to his truck ( with the addition to be able to change motors and trailers ) so that NOOOOOO inadvertant trucks assignments are attributed to his Logs .
    One time truck registration to a truck should be mandatory .
    Or make the , ” buttons ” , less sensitive to touch adjustment .
    One should not be attempting to be off duty to get a 34 hr reset only to come back to goto sleeper berth and find that he has been drivving for the last 6 1/4 hours .
    Your considered and promot attention to these issues would be greatly appreciated .
    Else in my book ,( yeah it’s a short story ) your app is sucksville !

    By far the worse eld I have ever worked with. It switches statuses on it’s on. We do a lot of slip sitting when we switch trucks the time we used one way doesn’t always transfer to other truck it starts back over or puts you in violation and when you switch to another truck it doesn’t log you out of last truck with out you going off duty. Never had any problems with any other eld I have used. Except this system

    The app keeps freezing, like when you stop and want to go to line one or two you just can’t. Other driver’s logs will show on the tablets, driver’s that aren’t even in my fleet, not often but I’ve seen it happen quiet a few times. My drivers have to reboot the tablets 3 to 5 times daily. Does not transfer logs to DOT and you will end up being stuck with a 3 year contract for this uncompliant logging device. Don’t recommend

    I have 2 clients that are using Samsara and they are having issues with the ELD information being transferred by an officer and the driver’s are receiving violation on roadside inspections. Both clients are changing ELD service.

    Your log is a joke I am running team and have had nothing but trouble my logs just disappear says I haven’t drove all week when I have drove every day did you guys just get into ELD to get in on the money because samsara is no doubt a joke and the worse ELD we have used samsara should just get out of the ELD because you clearly do not have a clue on what your are doing complete failure nothing but trouble everyday with your system

    Operating a fleet of 30+ trucks. Any issues we have had were resolved very quickly. We had very few issues with them. Reporting for IFTA/or analysis is super simple. The people there are super friendly and helpful.

    Went through a DOT audit and the officer tried to get some of my drivers logs sent to erods and all he got was an error message. I was given a violation for not being eld compliant.

    i hope they get there act together because i liked there product but can not use if it is not compliant.

    This is absolutely the worst ELD product available today. The bugs and or glitches are numerous but the worst is it changing to arbitrarily changing duty status while the truck is in motion. When you lose cell or wifi connection your access to your logs are severed and the duty status is changed again. When you call support they can’t fathom that there something with their program and then accused you of lying or attempting to cheat on your logbook. When under contract and you are not satisfied they will not accommodate you in any way. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SAMASARA. They are the worst!

    I can’t imagine any other system being as bad as this,switches on duty while I’m on 10 hour break almost every night.sometimes switches to driving when truck is shut off and not moving. Samsara has been no help whatsoever. Absolutely the worst eld out there with no help from support.

    I have been on electronic logs for 5 years Qualcomm and also XRS. For a driver Samsara totally sucks. They show five stars on their site but our drivers are all of the same opinion, zero stars. After entering off duty it will jump back to driving status or on duty. Several times I entered off duty for breaks, set my alarm for a half hour, system read off duty, got up and it was showing me on duty. Driver interface sucks. Go with Qualcomm or XRS. 100 times better.

    I drove for 7 days, did not use my 70 hours. However at the 8th day I did not get my hours back from the 1st day. I mean Samsara does not let me do recap, now I will have to sit and do my 34 before I can drive again. I hate it. By the way it doesn’t let me do a split neither.

    I have had good experience with Samsara. The system is not without it glitches and support has taken more than 24 hours to follow up. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Be aware that some of the issues may come from the user, even though they purport to have done everything correctly.

    After reviewing over 9 different apps/programs for ELD compliance, we chose Samsara due to what we though would be ease of use, affordability and options available. We went through two demo’s, watched multiple training videos and even had a life trainer available. Unfortunately we are only 3 weeks in to the use of this system and I am about to pull my hair out. I am the HR manager and mange the drivers and compliance. We have had 3 trucks now that have literally be sitting still on a lock lot but someone how their ELD shows them driving 2-3 hours. Or there was one where a driver was going through their day and half way through the day, another driver’s logs over wrote theirs. Literally the system said the driver was in Louisiana one minute and then Memphis, TN the next. This might be tolerable IF Samsara actually responded to my Case submissions or bothered to call me back. 4 cases and nothing that has helped to resolve them. Some how they thing throwing the training links back to you is supposed to fix a ghost in the system magically registering miles ran when a truck is actually sitting still. Yes the system is easy to use. Yes it is an affordable option for smaller companies but NO it does not have good customer support and it takes an act of congress to get someone to actually speak to you on the phone. Even then they usually just take your number and say they have to have a tech call you back…. which never happens.

      The exact same things keep happening to my guys!! Multiple times my drivers have called me and told me that their duty status just automatically changed… when I went in to look at their logs, I found that it had actually been logging another truck’s driving! Samsara is a headache.

    Terrible system. I spend half my day going over driver logs and trying to make corrections because the log shows they were driving or on duty when they were not. System keeps disconnecting

    Samsara changes duty status on a certified log . Had certified my log for all off duty for 34 hour restart . At the end of my first day of on duty samsara put one minute driving in the middle of my restart time. Being I had certified the log I could not edit it. So I never got my restart. Messed up my whole week.

    The owner of the company got an email from Samsara support team today and forwarded it to me. It basically said the DOT officer was not well enough informed to get the logs to send. This officer was one who received extra training in ELD enforcement and is very knowledgeable. I HOPE that scale is open tomorrow when I go back by. I will certainly stop to let them read the email.

    Everything John says it’s true, I regret getting this ELD for my three trucks. The app keeps stopping and keeps moving to on duty even after you go off duty and certify the logs, I was supposed to get a call from the support team, that was three days ago and have yet to receive the call. Two of my drivers are threatening to go elsewhere if I don’t get better ELDs. What a piece of garbage.

      I am so very happy that I am not the only person that this is happening to! I also encountered the same situation, I was in the sleeper birth for 20HRS on the 15th,at midnight I signed, and certified, but on 16th I went on personal convenience ,and all of a sudden the little warning beep went off,so I went back to check the 15th, and it switched from sleeper birth to on duty,and now there was nothing that I could do,because it signed ,and certified! apparently my truck slept walked for 20HRS!! hey SAMSARA you better fix this!!!

    The WORST system I have seen. Much needed info is missing on DOT inspection header. It will NOT transfer logs to DOT.I have the citation to back this up. It drops shipping info and trailer numbers regularly. One day I entered those 3 times and they were still not there that night. It randomly changes duty status. Once it changed me to on duty while I was driving down the road. Yesterday, right after getting the citation, it unfortunately stopped working, and when it came back up I had unassigned drive time. Upon further inspection, the drive time was on another truck. I was put on high priority call back from customer support because I was shut down at a scale house due to the violations. That was 31 hours ago. For all they care I could still be there. I was not the first driver with the same problems with Samsara. They consider it non compliant and I totally agree. By the way, the officer was very understanding and let me leave after Samsara cost me 2 hours of on duty time. Thank You Samsara!

    I don’t think it’s the best one to use because it doesn’t have personal drive time when you are at home and want to take your truck to the shop it still take time off your clock! And the customer service is terrible because I been trying to get in touch with someone for a week and a half and on one has gotten back with me about this matter. The only reason I wanted to try this is because of the WiFi but heck I can use my hotspot. And the camera cost $900 too much!

      camera cost is 199.00 one time fee, then 32.00 monthly. Might want to check that bill again. GREAT SERVICE!!!!

      You do have the ability to use “Personal Conveyance” for personal drive time for when you’re at home or for a variety of other reasons. Would absolutely suggest contacting your sales rep and ask how to enable this for your team

    Driver app very easy to use. Admin Dashboard has great features. Best part is there is no big upfront cost like w the other companies, just a monthly fee per device. so it makes it more affordable.

    Great customer support! Have been with a few of the “big guys” (Verizon, ahem) for GPS, but Samsara has really taken care of me any time I had questions. You have no idea how big of a deal that is for a small company like mine

      It can be used as both. You can switch it to AOBRD mode in your dashboard if you have the device before the 18th. Then, whenever applicable, you can switch it to ELD mode at your convenience.

    One of the worst I’ve used by far. Been off duty parked In my driveway and it put me on drive line. No way to fix that. Apparently the truck drove around my home town of 8 square miles for 16 hours. I don’t know how it claims to be compliant when you cannot do a split sleeper.

    I’m a little confused, is Samsara system considered as ELD or AOBRD? Their online certificate says it’s an AOBRD:

    My question is if I supply my current fleet with their VG gateways before the Dec mandate and then in 2 months I buy 20 more trucks, do those 20 new trucks have to be on a different system now? My understanding of the implementation timeline is that any unit equipped with AOBRD before Dec 18th 2017 is good and compliant until Dec 2019. And that after Dec 18th 2017 all new trucks in my fleet would now have to be on ELD devices unless they were traded for an old truck originally equipped with AOBRD prior to December 2017 or if they replaced a salvaged truck that was originally equipped with an AOBRD device. And that only in this scenario can the old AOBRD device be used in a new truck. Am I being misinformed? I appreciate and I’m grateful for any input in advance.

      It can be used as an AOBRD if you would like. There is an option in your user platform to switch it to AOBRD mode.

    Feedback has been great from my drivers. The back end admin screen is unbelievably helpful in tracking our fleet. We’ve been very impressed with Samsara and availability to help anytime we have questions about the ELD mandate. We partnered with them for the next 3 years and couldn’t be happier

      I went from 3% speeding to 10% in one day. I suspected the app was inaccurate so I intentionally set the cruise on the roads I was on to 1 or 2 miles an hour BELOW the posted speed. But instead of my percentage going down it went up!!. Who sets the posted speeds within the system? How accurate is the app vis-a-vis, construction zones, frontage roads, ect? Who is responsible for insuring the information is up to date? Is the speed portion an average or simply tripped at 1 tenth a mph over the posted speed

      It’s included in the service, but you don’t need to use the tracking if you don’t want to.

    I’ve been using Samsara eld for couple weeks now and i’m very dissapointed.
    I really like the interface and simplicity of the app, but it keeps switching duty status by itself.
    The other day i’ve selected yard movement to drop trailer at our terminal and drive around terminal building to pickup another trailer. Samsara app switched my duty status to driving without me even knowing about it.
    Suppousedly it shouldn’t switch to driving if you are in off duty, sleeper or on duty status and move your truck without going over 5mph. It doesn’t always work.
    I was fueling my truck at a truck stop and i was in on duty not driving mode. After fueling i pulled my truck forward slowly to let another truck behind me use same fuel pump and went inside to get my fuel receipt. To my surprise the app switched my status to driving even though i barerly moved.

      Having the same issues with status changing by itself. I have unplugged, reset, and still, the same issues. I set to personal convey to move in a parking lot, barely moved, it went to driving, and gave a log violation. I had to change the driving back to personal convey with a remark to prevent a log violation. This system needs to be addressed really fast. There are wayy too many comments about self changing status. Something needs to be done. Dot looks at US, not Samsara!

      Yes it does. All mandate compliant ELDs are required to have those two features. However, it is up to the carrier whether or not to enable them.

    We looked at everything and they’re hands down the best system to use for ELD Compliance and making my fleet run as efficient as possible. Love the fact that I can also see what’s happening with the engines in real time. My maintenance guy know what’s going on with the trucks before they roll in to the shop. Also, they come with WiFi hotspots so there’s no need to pay for data plans anymore.

    I have a question. Do you have something that just does the e log? I am totally independent and I don’t need any damn tracking. I just need to be compliant with this stupid law! I just need something for the scale man.

      Hi Brent,
      Good question. A lot of ELD providers (Samsara included) have a basic ELD only plan that just does logs and not much else. However, most of those do still have some basic tracking feature included with that. But they are still very affordable, and in your situation you’d have no need to even use the tracking piece.

      If you’re looking for something that really has no tracking feature whatsoever you might consider VDO RoadLog. Their most basic unit doesn’t even have a cellular connection. It just prints off small paper logs within the truck.

    Best system on the market, does way more than any other vendors we did trials of, best software to support the easy to install cables and monitors, definitely worth or look for anyone with a fleet, especially reefers!!!!

    The elog portion of their service is crap, we have a fleet of otr and local drivers and have been on the system about 3 weeks. Everyday we have problems with it changing our duty status. Example today drove 5 hrs went on duty while unloading then went in sleeper for short nap while awaiting next assignment, pressed driving button to drive and after 1 minute it switched to show I had been driving for 6:43 and changed my graph so I had to pull over and do an edit to correct it. We have tried the app on iPhone and Samsung tablets same issues on both. Also if u do drop and hook during the day don’t write up anything because if u do u will not be able to do another dvir on their system till the first one is certified fixed by you. Customer service reply when asked about that issue was ” well we never thought about someone pulling multiple trailers and doing multiple dvir” I would not recommend their elog app to anyone. 0 stars

      The EDVIR should only be done at the end of the day. Multiple ones are not needed or required. Remember an post-trip inspection is done throughout the entire day ending in a paper or electronic document.

    Easy, simple, no headaches. Realtime GPS (Helicopter view is awesome)!! Mobile app for ELD is incredibly easy and my drivers love it. Customer service and support is top notch!! Can’t say enough good things about product.

    clean interface, real time data. Reports are great, wifi hotspot is free? By far the best system we tested. Temperature monitoring and dash cameras are HUGE.

    I tested so many systems in anticipation of this mandate, and our owner was very adamant about getting something easy to use/ deploy with extensive support. Samsara is top notch, ahead of the industry and great pricing. WiFi is free. We partnered with them for 5 years and couldn’t be happier! We just deployed their dash cameras as well.

    Awful! Shows driving when you’re not, therefore showing a violation when it shouldn’t. Also, no known way to switch countries.

      Our company is having this issue. Logs them in automatically and then has them driving all weekend. When they have not been. So therefore when they do need to drive they are out of hours. We as the company should not have to keep going in Samsara and trying to correct the issue for our guys to drive.

      It will show a “voilation” on hours of service screen to prevent the driver from driving. Once the driver sleeps the requirede hours it dissapears.

    I have been using Samsara for about 8 months. great elog GREAT GPS. Woudl like for scheduled reports to be better, for example IFTA REPORTS should be able to be scheduled monthly or quarterly. Support has been good the couple of times I have needed them as well.

    Easiest technology to install and manage hands down. They also have cameras and environmental monitors so I only need to use one dashboard. I’ve looked at other fleet management solutions (Fleetmatics, Keep Truckin, Omnitracts, etc) and they don’t even compare. Customer support is a huge plus too!

      The unit always keeps disconnecting and the camera never works. It worked great while I was trying a couple out for my fleet and now it’s not good at all. I’m also stuck in a 3 YR term now.

        Having same issues. Do you actually have a signed contract? They told us we were too and when we signed everything online nothing said we were in a contract nor did they tell us. As soon as you signed the documents went away. I asked for copies that they can’t supply our signed signature saying we are in a contract. Let me know if you get a copy of yours cause I think somehow they have a scam going on when you sign there terms and conditions the documents disappear.
